How do you get deer to start eating out of feeder?

Winter time is the easiest time of year for acclimation due to the limitations of natural food resources. Deer are in constant search of food. In the picture, is a Banks 300 feeder. As you can see, I simply put 50lbs of corn surrounding the base of the feeder. I also placed 50lbs of corn inside of the feeder. I then filled the rest of the feeder with AntlerXtreme. Now I can visually gauge the usage of the feeder by the length of time it takes the corn inside the feeder to be gone and AntlerXtreme to start coming out. Sometimes you may have to add more corn around the base.
