Our Team & Experience

We proudly work with experienced professionals like Hunter Brooks, a certified wildlife biologist with more than eight years of experience in both public and private land management. Hunter serves as a trusted contractor for The Buck Depot and brings a wealth of field knowledge to each project.

His past work includes:

  • Restoring native plant communities on former agricultural land
  • Managing white-tailed deer populations to improve herd health and hunter satisfaction
  • Transitioning timber properties to habitat-focused forestry strategies
  • Creating thriving quail and turkey habitats to support native wildlife

About Hunter Brooks

Raised in the ridge and valley region of Northwest Georgia, Hunter’s passion for wildlife began early and carried through into his academic and professional career.

Education:

  • B.S. in Wildlife Ecology – Auburn University (2010–2014)
  • M.S. in Wildlife Ecology & Range Management – Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute (2014–2016)
    Thesis: Factors Influencing Water Consumption by White-tailed Deer
